Berlin Wall Installation at the Les Aboiteaux SCH, New Brunswick

The proposed activities consist of the removal of an approximately 8 m by 13 m structure at Les Aboiteaux small craft harbour and closing off the 90 degree corner between the adjacent 401 and 402 wharf structure with a berlin wall type structure. The new berlin walls would be approximately 12 metres and 8 metres long.  Installation of the wall will involve driving H-piles into the rock and placing concrete panels between the piles to form the wall. Anchor blocks and tie rods will be installed to secure the wall in place.  Rock fill will be placed behund the wall. Electrical infrastructure will be updated at the same time.

The proposed activities will improve the integrity of the existing wharf structures, providing safe and accessible infrastructure to the harbor users.
