Construction of four (4) six-plex apartment buildings, for a total of 24 new residential housing units (RHUs), at 12 Wing Shearwater, Canadian Forces Base Halifax

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to construct 4 six-plex Residential Housing Units (RHUs) at 12 Wing Shearwater. The RHUs will be built on vacant land in an existing RHU community. The approximate footprint of each new building will be 194.7 m². The site is proposed to have 15 parking spaces and six sheds per building. The new RHUs will be connected to existing municipal services.

February 28, 2025— The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
