Daniel J. MacDonald Building Modernization Project

The Daniel J. MacDonald Building in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, head office to Veterans Affairs Canada, will undergo a complete interior renovation to bring the building, its systems and the work spaces up to date including the mechanical and electrical systems. In doing so, the existing 180 kW generator will be replaced with a 500 kW unit allowing an adequate power supply for the fire pump system. The new generator will be installed on the same concrete pad as the existing generator. All materials removed for the renovation will be properly recycled or disposed of at approved sites.  No significant negative environmental impacts are expected as a result of this project.
