Wharf Removal and Breakwater Reconstruction at the Red Head Small Craft Harbour, Prince Edward Island

Post-tropical storm Fiona damaged the breakwater and wharf structures at the Red Head Small Craft Harbour. The proposed project will include the removal of wharf structures #408 and #410 and the reconstruction of breakwater structure #601. The existing breakwater will be dismantled and reconstructed to a crest elevation 1.5 meters higher than the existing structure. To facilitate the increased elevation, the footprint of the breakwater will be increased. The reconstructed breakwater will also include a new spur added to eastern end extending into the bay to help prevent wave agitation within the harbour.
