Commissary Accessibility Marina Park Society - Shelburne, NS

The proposed project will involve the construction of a public not-for-profit handicap, mobility impaired accessible marina on the shore of Shelburne harbor, Nova Scotia. The project will involving the installation of floating docks on the waters beside the shore and attached to the land above the water line, the construction of a parking lot and the construction of a small maintenance/admin building on top of a concrete slab on undeveloped and unused land. There will be no infilling of the water/harbour bed, only the laying of gravel over the land surface where it is already infilled with sawdust. This will be class 1 gravel for parking boats. The area will have minimal disturbance with minor shoreline restoration above the water line to clean it up and stabilize it.
