Container Village
The Saint John Port Authority is seeking to establish a container village, consisting of customized containers for occupancy by local businesses, higher end retail and hospitality tenants as well as a stage, lounge area and a plaza. This tourism infrastructure will facilitate the safe movement of passengers and crew from the ships to the city center, and will convert unoccupied industrial space for use by residents and tourists. It will also support the city's recovery efforts post COVID.
