Lincoln Road Infrastructure Upgrades

During the summer of 2022 the city of Fredericton, New Brunswick intends to reconstruct 585 meters of Lincoln Road as part of the city's flood mitigation plans. The proposed work starts at 548 Lincoln Road and moves eastward ending at 850 Lincoln Road.  Approximately 230 meters (5-12 m width) of Agriculture and Agri-Food Fredericton Research and Development land will be impacted along the length of the project area.

The project includes raising the grade in the road low point by approximately 2 meters, replacing the asphalt, installing one new cross culvert, and reinstalling one existing culvert. Additional work includes replacement of sanitary sewer main, water main, concrete curb/gutter/sidewalk, including required landscaping and related appurtenances. Banks along the south side of the road will be rebuilt to provide better drainage, slope stabilization and ease of maintenance.

The authority issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
