Miscou Fish Products Inc. Construction of Seafood Plant Addition

The proposed project involves the construction of an addition to the existing Miscou Fish Products Inc. seafood processing plant, located at the Miscou Harbour Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) - Small Craft Harbour (SCH) facility.  The proposed expansion will consist of a two-storey, (±218m2 per storey) wooden structure on a concrete foundation and will be attached to the existing seafood plant.  The new addition will house offices and employee break/lunch rooms, and will not be used as a seafood processing area.

Notice of Determination

July 15, 2020 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH) has issued its Notice of Determination after evaluation of the Construction of a Seafood Plant Addition project and has deterined that the project is not likely to result in significant adverse envronmental effects with mitigation measures as outlined in their evaluation.  The project can, therefore, proceed.
