Mînî Thnî Subdivision Phase 1

Bearspaw First Nation is proposing to develop a new residential subdivision in the community of Mînî Thnî. The first phase of the proposed subdivision project will include the construction of 18 single family homes, installation of underground utilities, paving  access roads, and construction of a berm on the east side to provide a visual barrier. The new subdivision will tie into existing community water and sewer services.

The proposed project will be constructed on an already cleared gravel site off Long Knife road on the south west side of Mînî Thnî. In the past the site was used for emergency housing purposes. Some vegetation clearing will be required on the north east side of the site to allow for the sewer connection. A wildlife sweep will be completed prior to removal of vegetation. The project is located 800m south of the Bow River and is not expected to have any impacts to fish or fish habitat. The project is not expected to impact any species at risk
