Water Main Replacement at the NRC - Montreal Road South Campus

The scope of the project includes water mains replaced by either open-cut excavation, Cure-In Place-Pipe (CIPP), or a hybrid approach using both methods on NRC Montreal Road South Campus .

The project consists of linear excavation of 2100 linear meter. The project includes tree removal. Trees are anticipated to be removed for this project and will be compensated as part of the project. The project work would take approximately five months from start to completion (May 2026 to November 2026).

January 05, 2026 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The NRC is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
