YYZ PIFFC Metering Station and Dual Jet Fuel Transfer Lines

Pearson International Fuel Facilities Corporation (PIFFC) is the owner of a fuel storage facility at the YYZ Pearson International Airport, located on Elmbank Road, Mississauga ON that supplies jet fuel to the airport.

As part of the proposed project, PIFFC will install jet fuel transfer lines to connect an existing third-party pipeline to the existing PIFFC facility. The proposed project consists of a new metering station to connect to the third-party pipeline, the installation of dual jet fuel transfer lines (20" diameter and 12" diameter, respectively) of approximately 1.8 km in length, and associated equipment. The new jet fuel transfer lines will be constructed to the latest version of CSA Z662 and will include below ground piping with connections to an aboveground metering station and will be installed with active leak detection monitoring.
