Ochapowace Nation Landfill Decommissioning

Ochapowace Nation is proposing to conduct landfill decommissioning and reclamation of the historical dumpsite located in NW 32-17-03-W2M. Decommissioning activities will start with site preparation which includes removing any metal, oil cans, shingles and other non-inert waste and moving any inert waste into the existing cells. Site will then be graded and contoured to ensure 3:1 slope of the material in each of the cells.  A 500 mm layer of clay will be placed and compacted over each of the two cells. A 150 mm layer of topsoil will then be placed over the clay cap followed by a native grass seed.
