Extension of Bison Enclosure South onto Plains Rough Fescue Grassland Restoration Area

An additional 45 ha south of the existing Lake Audy Bison enclosure will be fenced with 2.5 km of 5 ft page wire placed on posts so that the wire is 2ft above the ground surface. One strand of high tensile wire will be placed below the page wire. The project will also involve removing 800 m of fence that is currently the south end of the enclosure and the installation of an interpretive sign. The new enclosure area will support plains rough fescue grassland restoration on the former site of a spruce plantation and the former Lake Audy Horse Corral.
