Keeseekoose Multi-Purpose Health facility

The Proposed Project

A new 41,218 square ft Health facility will be built on the property described. One storey in height, with a partial basement for the mechanical and electrical, roughly 6,000 to 10,000 square feet. The remainder of the sub-level will be a crawlspace. The expected lifespan of this building will be approximately 25-30 years. It is assumed the project will be sprinklered.  The infrastructure needed for this building will require connection to existing sewer lines, gas lines, power lines, communication lines, etc.

The multi-purpose health facility is designed to be a multi-use facility to assist area residents to more effectively navigate their own healthcare. The facility is designed to incorporate the following:
-       Keeseekoose Health Centre
• Primary Care and Telemedicine Services
• Ambulatory Pickup / Drop Off

The proposed development will be located at Keeseekoose I.R. No.66, St. Phillips Village, SK.  It is assumed the project will be constructed of the following:
• Floors – Hollow Core Concrete or similar
• Walls – Steel or Concrete Construction
• Roof – Steel or Concrete Construction
• Transition Units - Three (3)
• Indian Child and Family Agency (ICFS)
• Palliative Care Units - Two (2)
• Transitional health assisted living units - Eighteen (18)
• Pharmacy
• Health Offices
• Traditional Medicine / Ceremony Space
• Kitchen / Laundry
• Future growth

Any waste generated in the construction phase will be assessed and disposed of according to the classification of waste that is generated. any hazardous waste will be collected and disposed of to a authorized site. After construction, we will be using existing sewer services for most of the waste from the facility, but will also have a waste collection system for those hazardous materials generated by the facility and its personnel.

March 12, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/138297 and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
