Utility Service Agreement BELL MTS Inc. Moon Lake Telecommunications Tower

A 20 year Utility Service Agreement is proposed for BELL MTS Inc for an existing telecommunications tower site near Moon Lake in Riding Mountain National Park. BELL MTS Inc. will occupy the land, undertake a soil remediation work plan, as well as operate and maintain the existing tower, equipment and buildings. The agreement is scheduled to start on April 1, 2020 until March 31, 2040. This project will be assessed with a Basic Impact Assessment. 


Latest update

December 24, 2021 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Parks Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
