Key Junction Gas Bar & Confectionery

The Proposed Project

The Key First Nation are proposing to construct a gas bar and confectionery to be located on the Key IR 65 in the core of the community. The old band office will be renovated to hold the confectionery, and a pump island, above-ground storage tank and parking lot will be placed on the rest of the lot. The gas bar will include a 90,000 litre Above-ground split tank to hold 50,000 litres of gasoline and 40,000 litres of diesel. All infrastructure is in place for utilities for the building renovation. During construction, all waste generated will be discarded to the local landfill situated on The Key First Nation. The tank will be registered with Environment Canada, and an emergency spill plan will be available.
