Piapot First Nation Road to Community Wells

The Proposed Project

This project involved the rehabilitation of a key access road to the community wells in Piapot First Nation. This will include resurfacing, minor grading, and clearing and reestablishment of overgrown ditches. All quarters of Sec19 TWP21 R18 W2M. Upgrade of 950 meters of existing roadway in the Piapot Community. Roadway is overgrown and has a poor surface structure. Topsoil stripping, Common excavation, geotextile installation, culvert installation, gravel installation, topsoil replacement and seeding. General construction waste (i.e access material, geotextile, culverts)

February 23, 2023 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination Notice of Determination for Piapot First Nation Road to Community Wells (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
