Cowessess Urban Indigenous Health centre

The proposed project includes the installation of a new building, parking area, solar array, lighting and other associated structures. The project will take place on three properties in Regina, SK, at 1200 Albert Street (non-reserve lands), 1236 Albert Street and 1201 Angus Street (both are federal reserve lands).  The primary project works include:

  • Construction of a new building ~35,100 ft2 (~4225 m2) on lots 1200 Albert Street with a partial overlap on to 1201 Angus street
  • Installation Parking lot space to accommodate up to 121 stalls and a loading dock
  • Installation of a transformer to supply power to a new solar array
  • Installation of ~271 Solar PV Array Units throughout the Parking lot and on the Building roof

This project is partially on Federal reserve lands, specifically the urban reserve lands of Cowessess Indian reserve No. 73, and is subject to a Section 82 review. The project is not within a Migratory Bird Sanctuary, National wildlife Area or Marine Protected Area.  The closest water body is ~860 m away.


Latest update

February 23rd, 2024 - The public comment period on the project is closed. Infrastructure Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
