Replacement of the Fuel Transfer Station and Fuel Tank Systems

17 Wing Detachment Dundurn will replace its existing fuel transfer station in the summer of 2020 to address compliance, operational and site deficiencies. The proposed project will consist of constructing a new fuel transfer station as well as decommissioning the existing one. The replacement station will include two aboveground fuel storage tank systems for gasoline and diesel, an access road and product transfer areas. Decommissioning of the current fuel transfer station consists of a gasoline and diesel storage tank systems and the product transfer areas after the new installation.


Latest update

September 18, 2020 – The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
