Beardy's & Okemasis Cree Nation Stage 4 Subdivision

The Beardy's & Okemasis Cree Nation Stage 4 Subdivision is proposing to construct 132 new residential lots to support future growth and housing on-reserve for the next 10 years. The Stage 4 Subdivision location was selected north and east of the Stage 3 Subdivision and will occupy approximately 82 hectares of land currently used for recreational and agricultural purposes. The project will include earthworks for lot grading and drainage and infrastructure for water, wastewater, roadway, and public utility systems which have varying lifespans from 20-100 years.

July 16, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination Notice of Determination for the Beardy's & Okemasis Cree Nation Stage 4 Subdivision (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
