Piapot First Nation Prince Albert Urban Gas Bar & Convenience Store

Piapot First Nation are proposing to construct a gas bar and confectionery to be located on Piapot IR 75 in Prince Albert, SK. The proposed project is new infrastructure consisting of a 2,000 sq.ft Convenience Store and gas bar. The gas bar will have 3 islands with 3 dual hose dispensers, for regular gasoline and one hose dispenser for diesel. There will be 2 double walled above ground storage tanks (one split) with 60,000L gas and 40,000 gas + 20,000L diesel fuel capacity to service the gas station. Fuel Tanks and associated infrastructure to be installed according to all Municipal, Provincial and Federal regulations.  Tanks will be registered with Environment Canada and Emergency Spill Plan will be available. The operation will be in compliance with all applicable Federal Regulations. A project plan is being developed in accordance with City of Prince Albert building permit regulations and a Municipal Services Agreement with the City of Prince Albert is in place for  servicing.

July 2, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/139544 and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
