Phase 2 - Sturgeon Lake First Nation Active Transportation Network

The Sturgeon Lake First Nation (the Recipient) is proposing the project. This proposal will involve the construction of a multi-use pathway within the existing road allowance/ditch of Sturgeon Lake Road, located approximately 27 kms northwest of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The pathway will be constructed adjacent to the ditch and in some locations, along the adjacent hillside, on the south side of Sturgeon Lake Road.

Project works involve:

- Construction of a new 12 km long, 3 m wide, multi-use asphalt path;

- installation of pedestrian shelters (2);

- pedestrian crosswalks (4); and

- installation of lights (241), signage (10), and benches (8).

December 17, 2024 - Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada has issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the proposed project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
