Saskatchewan Agriculture Drainage Network - 600 Creek Drainage Network Project

A group of landowners holding property in the area are proposing to expand an existing drainage network at the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border for the diversion of surface water from agricultural lands. Located approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Storthoaks, Saskatchewan, the project would operate indefinitely and facilitate the diversion of an additional 1,452,300 cubic metres of water per year.

Latest update

December 13, 2019 – The Minister of Environment and Climate Change has determined that the 600 Creek Drainage Network Project proposed by a group of landowners holding property in the area does not warrant designation under the Impact Assessment Act. The reasons for the Minister’s determination are provided in the Minister’s response.
