Moose Jaw Combined Cycle Power Station Project

Saskatchewan Power Corporation (SaskPower) is proposing the construction and operation of a new fossil fuel-fired electrical generating facility with a production capacity of up to 366 megawatts, located on the southeast edge of the City of Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan. The proposed Moose Jaw Combined Cycle Power Station Project would consist of a combined cycle natural gas electrical generating facility and would also include the construction of underground water infrastructure, road upgrades, an overhead 230-kilovolt transmission line, a 25-kilovolt power distribution line, a fibre-optic line and natural gas infrastructure.

June 27, 2019 – The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency issued its environmental assessment determination and decided that an environmental assessment of the designated project is not required.
