Upgrade of the HMCS Brunswicker Jetty – Saint John, New Brunswick

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The majority of work will involve concrete repairs to the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the jetty, caisson, floating dock and piles. This will include the removal of 25mm to 75mm of concrete and repairing with new polymer-modified mortar. Other miscellaneous work will also be included replacement of the timber fenders, replacement of the sacrificial anodes, installing and insulating a new water line and some other minor mechanical/electrical items.


Latest update

August 7, 2026 - The authorities intend to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the authorities are inviting public comments until August 26, 2026 respecting that determination.
