Jasper Park Lodge Wellness Area Development & Trail 4a Refurbishment

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is proposing to redevelop one of their Sundeck locations and complete upgrades to Trail 4a directly adjacent to Lac Beauvert and South of their Main Lodge Building. Project activities will include work within the Riparian Zone (changes to trail surface materials, grading/levelling, installation of permanent structures) as well as the introduction of a year-round sauna/cold plunge experience. This project permanently alters the purpose of the Sundeck and associated dock, increases visitor capacity of the offering by providing it year-round, and permanently expanding the physical work associated with this offer within the Riparian Zone. As such, a Basic Impact Assessment will be required.
