Construction of a New Wastewater Treatment Plant – Valcartier Military Base

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The current wastewater treatment plant at the Valcartier military base has been in operation since 1959. Today, several of its components are reaching the end of their service life, prompting the Department of National Defence (DND) to plan for its replacement. Following various analyses and studies, the DND has chosen to build a new aerated lagoon–type facility. This new plant will be constructed on a site adjacent to the existing one, which will then be dismantled once the new facility is commissioned.
