Construction of Energetic Materials and Properties Evaluation Laboratory - Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Valcartier

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which involves the construction of a new building of approximately 700 m2 in the area of the Defence Research and Development Canada ( DRDC) Valcartier Experimental Complex. The building will be mainly composed of concrete and will be designed according to explosives safety standards. The project also includes the demolition of two buildings and the surrounding fortifications, as well as the demolition of the concrete wall around one of the buildings.

 


Latest update

May 23, 2023— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
