Replacement of Perimeter Fences - Valcartier Military Base

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project to replace the existing fencing in the training areas of the base with new anti-cervid fencing to improve the security of the Defence Establishment. The project will include the replacement of approximately 7 kilometers of fencing along residential areas. The project is anticipated to start in summer 2022.


Latest update

May  20, 2022— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
