Building Construction in Support of Armoured Combat Support Vehicle - Valcartier Military Base

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which consists of building a new garage on the Valcartier base which will be used to accommodate the new Armoured combat support vehicle. The projected gross area of the new building is 12,174 . This building will be used for vehicle storage and first and second line maintenance for the entire brigade fleet. More than half of the space will be occupied by indoor parking (6,514 ) and maintenance bays (959 ). The remaining space will be finished with a small kitchen, administrative rooms, classrooms, toilets and showers, quartermaster, welding and washing rooms. The building should be on one or two levels.

November 15, 2021 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
