Stabilization of the La Falaise trail, Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area

Environment and Climate Change Canada's Canadian Wildlife Service (ECCC-CWS) plans to carry out stabilization work on a section of the La Falaise Trail, at the location where the beginnings of a landslide were observed in the spring of 2024, in the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area (NWA). The section affected by the landslide is approximately 60 m long and is located approximately 1.0 km from the trailhead. The project involves the construction of a retaining wall and the reconstruction of the collapsed trail to restore access to pedestrians, maintenance vehicles, and emergency services.
