Long Pond Lake Rip-Rap - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Valcartier

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a riprap of the sill at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Valcartier. The old structure serving as a dam gave way, and the level of the lake dropped by 30-60 cm. Long-term effects could be erosion of the sill, if it is washed away would affect a multitude of lakes as well as road infrastructure.
