Building Demolition - Valcartier Military Base

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project which involves the demolition of a building, which covers an area of 1416 . Electrical and mechanical equipment will first be removed from the building. The built-in furniture and partitions will then be demolished, the exterior cladding and structural elements will come next. The foundations will be removed from the ground. The underground pipes will be plugged and removed from the ground or abandoned in place when there are permanent installations in place (parking, street or other building. All infrastructure will be replaced by lawn.

November 26, 2021— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
