Black River First Nation Subdivision Road

The objective of the project is to provide a new subdivision gravel access road to 12 residential houses.  The current public road requires upgrades to approximately 730m public granular  gravel road,  proper drainage and ditching, including driveways and culverts for the 12 residential lots in accordance with the acceptable ISC level of Service Standards for Road And Bridges. There is an additional option also captured, to extend further 300 m pending funding availability.


Latest update

October 1, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until October 31, 2026 respecting the determination.
