East Side Air Cargo Development at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG)

The Proposed Project

Winnipeg Airports Authority proposes to undertake the East Side Air Cargo Development project at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Project will create a multi-tenant air cargo logistics facility and develop the supporting infrastructure around the facility to provide additional aircraft positions and enhance the airport's handling capacity of goods/cargo (multi-purpose, multi-tenant space, Cold Chain Logistical Centre, including food and other dry commodities, and livestock area for movement of swine and live animals). The project area is entirely on developed lands that have supported continuous airport operations since 1927, and include portions of Aprons I, V, VII, VIIA, Taxiway H, Taxiway S, groundside parking lots, roads, and airport service areas.
