Bloodvein First Nation Staff Housing

The new capital asset will allow for up to 6 permanent personnel to have semi-private units featuring a self-contained kitchenette and living area, and a full washroom. This will allow for hiring males and females. One unit is fully wheelchair accessible to
meet accessibility standards. Three one-bedroom units with private washrooms will be available to visiting professionals.

Building Requirements:
SECFS staff identified the following needs for the new capital asset:
- A homelike feeling
- Shared kitchen and living room
- Fitness room
- Laundry
- Lots of storage
- 6 – 1 bedroom units with kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom
- 3 – hotel style bedroom units with private bathrooms
- Computer/printing room for use after hours
- Screened-in porch
- Small patio area for BBQ
- Security cameras
- 3 vehicle garage for storage of agency vehicles, maintenance equipment

September 13, 2024 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
