Public Notice Bloodvein River Airport Wildlife Fencing - Public Comments Invited

 

June 1, 2022 –  Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed Bloodvein River Airport Wildlife Fencing project, located in Bloodvein River, Manitoba is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

 

The proposed project at Bloodvein River Airport involves the construction of a complete fence system to enclose the runway, taxiway, apron, equipment shop, terminal building, and the airport gravel stockpile. The fence will provide security, as well as limit unauthorized access into the airport from both pedestrians and wildlife. The project will involve clearing a 3 metre-wide area along the proposed alignment, followed by installation of 3100 metres of fixed knot fence, two gates, and signage.
