New Floating Dock Installation at Centre Bay SCH, NL

The proposed project at Centre Bay SCH includes the installation of a new floating dock. The new floating dock will be attached to the existing marginal wharf (Structure No. 402) and extend to the northwest, perpendicular to the marginal wharf. Additionally, this new floating dock will be located parallel and southwest to an existing floating dock. The new floating dock will be floated into place, attached to the marginal wharf and subsequently anchored in place. A new gangway will be installed to provide access from the marginal wharf. The new floating dock will extend approximately 16.5 meters into navigable water.

Notice of Intent to Make a Determination – Start of Public Comment Period

September 18, 2026 – The federal authorities intend to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the federal authorities are inviting public comments until October 18, 2026 respecting that determination.
