Floating Dock Relocation at Belleoram SCH, NL

The proposed project at Belleoram SCH includes the relocation of an existing floating dock to a new location. The new location will require the installation of a new timber headblock for accessibility and the installation of new scour rock protection to prolong the serviceability of the floating dock. The current location of the floating dock is on the terminal end of the southern floating dock system, oriented perpendicularly. After the headblock and scour protection are installed, the floating dock will be detached from its existing location and floated into place. A gangway will be installed between the new headblock and the floating dock, and two anchor blocks will secure the terminal end of the floating dock in place.

Notice of Intent to Make a Determination – Start of Public Comment Period

October 27, 2026 – The federal authorities intend to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the federal authorities are inviting public comments until November 27, 2026 respecting that determination.
