Outfall Pipeline Extension, Lewisporte, NL

The proposed project will involve the excavation and placement of new and existing material to fill voids along the existing harbour bottom and provide a suitable base for the new outfall pipe. The new 610mm outfall pipe will be connected to the existing 610mm outfall pipe, to extend the outfall pipe by 170m. The new HDPE outfall pipe will be ballasted using concrete ballast blocks.


Latest update

09 May 2024 – Transport Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
