Steel Sheet Pile Wall Repairs St. John's Dockyard Limited

The existing steel sheet pile wall that is part of the syncrolift at the Newdock Facility in the west end of St. John's Harbour is approximately 40 years old and in need of repair. Corrosion has caused holes to develop in the wall which permit silt from the Waterford River to drift under the syncrolift limiting the operator's ability to lower the unit. The project will involve the installation of approximately 100 meters of new flat profile steel sheet pile at the face of the existing sheet pile to seal the holes. The work will involve the use of a barge mounted crane to handle and install the new sheet pile
