Development of a picnic site on the Laurencelle

The project involves building a picnic area near the Laurencelle parking lot. This parking lot is located near a shoulder on Route 132, on a bend in the road. The parking lot is used by visitors wishing to access the ridge trails in both east and west directions. It is also used extensively by visitors who want to enjoy the view. Indeed, this site is chosen because it offers a breathtaking view of Gaspé Bay. The addition of this picnic stop enhances the experience of visitors to the region. The project involves the development of a picnic site consisting of a gravel surface and two picnic tables. To achieve this, the following operations are planned:

  • Construction of a trail to provide access to the rest area.
  • Cutting and clearing the vegetation occupying the rest area.
  • Cutting trees to restore views of the bay.
  • Slight reshaping of the ground to create a flat surface.
  • Covering the surface with a layer of small gravel.
  • Installation of two picnic tables.
