Maintenance Dredging at Rivière-au-Tonnerre Fishing Harbour

The Small Craft Harbours Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada proposes to undertake maintenance dredging at Rivière-au-Tonnerre fishing harbour, in the Québec province.


The maintenance dredging aims to provide safe and accessible facilities for local fishermen. 


The scope of this project includes maintenance dredging of the channel and the basin.


The proposed dredging will be carried out by means of a barge with opening bottom, a hydraulic shovel or a crane equipped with a half shell bucket.


Dredged sediments will be managed on land.

Maintenance Dredging at Rivière-au-Tonnerre Harbour– Public Comments Invited

February 11th, 2020 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Small Craft Harbours Branch, must determine whether the proposed Maintenance Dredging Project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Fisheries and Oceans Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.
