Standoff East Commercial Development

The Blood Tribe intends to construct a commercial/institutional development to the east of the community of Standoff. This proposed commercial development will be the first phase of a larger multipurpose development that will include residential, commercial, and recreational land uses. This phase of the project will include the development of 7 new institutional lots including the installation of water and sewage lines, and paving roads and sidewalks. There will also be a storm water pond constructed with appropriate drainage.

End of Public Comment Period

December 6, 2023 - The public period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
