New Natural Gas Service Line - Canadian Forces Base Suffield

The Department of National Defence's (DND) is proposing to execute a project to install new 6" polyethylene underground piping for a new natural gas service line north of the Village of Ralston at Canadian Forces Base Suffield. This project is part of a larger pipeline being constructed by Forty Mile Gas Co-op on the west side of Hwy 884. The DND involvement in the project will remain limited to the 1.2km portion (approximate) of the pipeline being installed on federal land. Forty Mile will retain ownership of the pipeline.

June 25, 2025— The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
