Sanitary Sewer Repairs - Phase 2

This project to repair the sanitary sewer system in Timiskaming consists of several components. 

- Installation of a storm-water system to carry away stormwater runoff and water from building foundation drains;

- Reconstruction of existing streets to address current issues with inadequate surface drainage in the community;

- Construction of a new storm-water outfall that will discharge into the stream on the other side of Stranger Road.

July 3, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until August 3, 2026 respecting that determination.
