Driftpile Cree Nation antenna supporting structure located on the Driftpile Cree Nation in the Municipal District of Big Lakes.

TLC Solutions is proposing to install a new telecommunications tower located on the Driftpile Cree Nation in the Municipal District of Big Lakes. The tower proposed is an 88' (~27m) free standing structure intending to boost the cellular coverage in and around the community. Antennas may include a Yagi outside directional antenna operating in the following cellular bands: Band 12/17 (700 MHz), Band 12 (700 MHz), Band 5 (850 MHz), Band 4/AWS (1700/2100 MHz), and Band 25/PCS (1900 MHz). This new tower may have periodic antenna additions or replacements, as required for any Radiocommunication service.

2024-09-19 – The public comment period on the project is closed.  Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
