Whitefish Lake First Nation Atikameg CFS Family Preservation and Prevention Building

Whitefish Lake First Nation is proposing to build a new Family Preservation and Prevention Building located on Utikoomak Lake IR No 155. The new building will be constructed on pre-developed lands. The building will require new water and sewer services, electricity is already available. Solar and geo-exchange heating and cooling will be constructed along with a parking lot adjacent to the building. Grading will be completed, and quarry materials will be brought in from off reserve.

End of Public Comment Period 

May 13, 2025 - The public period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
