Loon River Cree Nation Pure Fibre Network Project

Telus proposes to construct a new Pure Fibre network in Loon River Cree Nation, Alberta. This new proposed network is planned to connect to existing infrastructure, and is part of a larger connectivity project spanning Highway 88 from Fort Vermillion to Red Earth, Alberta. Wood utility poles will be used, and Telus' conduit where available. The proposed project will include multiple watercourse crossings, including Loon River, where existing bridge infrastructure will be used for this crossing. The proposed project will also cross three unnamed tributary watercourses, where directional drilling will be required to construct the Pure Fibre connection.
