Port of Oshawa East Wharf Extension

The Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority is proposing to extend the east wharf at the Port of Oshawa by connecting the existing dock wall and mooring dolphin. The new section of dock wall will be 45 m long and involve infilling an area approximately 1440 m2 between the new dock wall and the existing disturbed shoreline. Mitigation measures recommended by Fisheries and Oceans Canada will be implemented to protect fish and fish habitat. The improved infrastructure will support full utilization of both berths and will allow heavier cargo to move through the port.
